Help Somalia

Alhamdulillah, once again: a downloadable-printable pattern is here. A bigger design than two previous postings, but still medium size and easy level pattern. I start making this pattern some months ago, after the news of crisis in Horn of Africa caught my attention.



As you know already, on 20 July the UN has declared famine in Somalia. No less than 3.7 million people now in crisis and more than 10 million affected by worst drought in decades.



Million of people need your help, please send donation for Somalia: every penny is count, every second is decisive. Go to local organisations that hold fund-raising for the cause, or find information online here:

3. Take Part Help Somalia (List of many organisations worldwide that have direct action for Somalia).

Volunteer Africa (many people wants to go there to give help, but it's not easy and i don't know if it will be a good idea help if you are not professional and haven’t worked with international aid agencies. You can see about volunteering works here, but not actions for urgency like what happened in Somalia now.)

Uh, back to our pattern here. I hope this black bird design can be a reminder for us about many sad things happened, and what we can do to help.  I do this free pattern gives us manfa'at. Oh yes, I'm still working on the Ayat Kursiy pattern... insya Allah, by the end of Oktober second week, I will be able to finish the revised version (i.e., the final pattern after my sister finishes stitching the first version, then she will give her suggestion, opinions, etc to make the pattern final). I think you will agree on our slow progress making this particular pattern. We cannot work with any verse of the Qur'an carelessly, right?
