Assalaamu'allaikum,
I made this pattern in December last year but haven't had a chance to share it due to mum's deteriorating health, and after 11 years fighting against breast cancer and cervical cancer, Mum passed away on 27th of February 2014. This pattern is very special to me, not only this one is the last pattern mum saw I stitched when we chatted in those months, but also because this pattern is calligraphy of the very man, Prophet Muhammad PBUH, who taught humankind to put the utmost love, respect and sincere care for woman; especially mother.

I hope by sharing this, it will bring us manfaat in many good ways.

Wassalaamu'allaikum.

Simple cross stitch for children

Assalaamuallaikum.
I'm currently working on a big project (after I posponed Ensinore Mill). It's cross stitch pattern of Ayat Kursiy (QS 02: 255), the throne verse of Al Quran nur kareem. Insya Allah, I will have finished the digital pattern (PDF) soon, and shortly after that I will share it here.
For now, I share a smaller, simpler design than my Ayat Kursiy project. Initially I made this pattern for children. As you have known, my niece found stitching is quite fun. In fact, stitching can occupy her for hours. Well, she has not yet finished the previous pattern I made for her (Allahu Akbar, Simple), but she wants to stitch a project with more colors. especially, involving pink.. sort of. Oh my, I have a very girlie niece!
So, here it is: a small cross stich pattern using 3 colors of DMC threads. The pattern is kufi style of calligraphy, saying Lā ilāha illā Allāh Muhammad rasūl Allah. Yout get it, yes, this is Kalimah Shahadat, the most fundamental belief in Islam.
You can see details of this pattern below, including the link of the PDF pattern I host on Mediafire. Because this is for my niece when I made it, symbol on the pattern is colored. Not much, but you can see different color for different thread symbol. Feel free to download and print it for yourself, and last... please notify us about broken links or other problems in getting the pattern. Oh, yes, why not show us when you have finished stitching it? :)

See you again soon, wassalaamuallaikum.

Assalaamuallaikum.

Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT gave us the strenght and patience in dealing with misfortunes. After two weeks of being hospitalized, my father getting better. His health deteriorated in the last two years and being hospitalized in National Cardiovascular Center in capitol Jakarta was his routine --well, the best was bimonthly-- since last Ramadhan. Unfortunately, when my old man was getting better, last week, my mother had serious breathing problemand being hospitalized too.

After four days, doctors allowed her to go home in Lampung province. Alhamdulillah, this afternoon I copanied them home. Both of my parents are okay now, only minor complain on their disgestives. Alhamdulillah

Nah, I think I will need more days to concentrate on their recoveries. So, I regret this deeply, until next week I will post no new pattern on this blog. However, just in case you don't aware, I have three Islamic cross stitch patterns on my blog (in Bahasa Indonesia), which I didn't post here. You can download for free, and I dont think language will be a big problem since the pictures and pattern symbols always have the same language in cross stitch (I hope this is not a too optimistic view of mine):

Well, that's all my posting this time. Soon after everything okay again, I will post new patterns. Insya Allah.

Wassalaam.

Assalaamuallaikum.

This time, our free cross stitch pattern is the second part of the red backgroud series. Actually, I didn't think of making a serial of patterns, but when I finished stitching the design of Allah on red background , our mother ask us, "When will we have this on our living room? Your paired designs are beautiful."

Ay, ay, of course, people love to have calligraphies of Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad SAW designed as a pair. Therefore, I work on this pattern as my mother asked me. Perhaps next week my sister will begin stitching it. She is now working on a design of Mecca sketch, she is about finishing three quarter of the whole pattern. Hopefully soon we can borrow someone's digital camera or handphone to take the pictures of our finished cross stitch designs, we would be happy to share it here.

Well, now about this pattern. I use the same color as in Allah design, 8 colors of Anchor cotton threads. I also include DMC substitute for the threads on the pattern. This pattern will result in a finished design of 26 by 26 cm fabric (aida 14ct), I hope the size not too big or too small. Well, at least it fit our living room's wall :), may it is too on yours.
