Yaaaayy, alhamdulillah, I have one more free cross stitch chart to share! This is picture of one historical mosque in Islam history: Masjid Jumuah, the mosque where the Prophet Muhammad SAW prayed his first Friday prayers in Medina (Jumuah is Friday).
About how it happened, a super brief explanation on Muslim Photo gallery says,"The Prophet (pbuh) had travelled from Mecca to Medina during the hijra and had rested at Quba. He left Quba on his she-camel Qaswa and was approached by the local tribesmen. He took his time to greet them all and when the time of prayer neared, he was at the dwellings of Bani Salim ibn Awf. They were expecting the Prophet (pbuh) to honour them by accepting their hospitality, just like he had honoured their cousins in Quba. So the Prophet (pbuh) prayed at that place which later became Mosque of Bani Salim built by the companions of the Prophet (pbuh)"

Assalaamuallaykum.
Recently I posted these patterns as separate articles on
Kristik Islami. The patterns were based on the same picture. They were different only in the number of colors I used. The first used 24 colors of DMC threads, and the second used 17 colors. The second pattern was less in details, but easier to stitched. My sister prefered the first version, while I was happy using the second one. Well, I was not good in seeing different small (tiny!) symbols on the pattern, so I obviously worked better with simplest pattern I could get. That's why I often used alphabet as symbol in my patterns. I could see the pattern better since alphabet was more familiar to me than other funny symbols usually provided in cross stitch softwares.
Back to the patterns, I made them as a reminder for anyone who care about Israel assault on Gaza. The beautiful heritage showed in these free cross stitch designs should be in memory of any muslim in the world: never forget the Gazans, never forget Palestine, keep fighting and praying for freedom and justice.
As always, I hoped you like our free patterns. May this posting brought us
manfaat, not
mudharat. Wassalaamu'allaykum.

Assalaamuallaikum.
This is one of the first designs we made using computer. I planned to share this earlier, not far from the time we posted
the black and white version. Unfortunately we had problem with the computer and we had to make the chart again. So this pattern is slightly different with the first electronic version we had stitched. If you want to see the first version, in October I had uploaded a photo of unfinished work to
my Islamic Cross Stitching Group's Photos. Feel free to join this group at Yahoo. However, this is a group for women only. So, you cannot find male stitcher there. But, you if you are female and are into cross stitching, take advantage of sharing photo, experiences, ideas, etc. there. You won't regret joining this group.
Nah, this will be the last pattern we share this year. If you read this posting, then I had been successful in using scheduled post feature provided by blogger. I pray this beautiful design will be a symbol of or hope for a more beautiful world in the years to come.

Our free pattern this time is potrait of Ka'bah. When first time my sister Wein saw the picture, she told me that the man sitting there was just like our brother. Well, if it were newer picture we would think it was our brother when he went for hajj in 2004. LOL
I made minor adjustment by changing the sky on original picture with our own creation. For us, it looked nicer and we hope you see it like we do ;)

Alhamdulillah, I finished making this pattern. My sister Wein had stitched this design two months ago and now she still working on the colour version one. We must hurry, since we want both of them in our town fair next august. Yes, in Indonesia we celebrate the independence day with many local dan traditional events, and my sister and I decide to prepare for our first "exhibition" in town fair, LOL. Just a plan -- insya Allah we will be ready and Allah grant us the opportunity. Amiin.
Now about the pattern. It use 19 colours, on 14ct fabric the finised design with the frame (thin one) is about 26 by 34 centimetres. Without the frame, [GRIN] you can use the cross stitch calculator on the right sidebar of this blog. Since the pattern use threads in close gradation colours, to avoid wrong colour due sight problem (at least for me), I made the pattern in very plain form. Only using letters and numbers. However, my sister prefer the coloured symbols on the pattern. Therefore, here I have two version of the same pattern. Choose what you think easier, or grab them both if you can't decide. No problem, both are free. [SMILE]
