In less than a week moslem all over the world will celebrate Eid al Fitr. Eid Mubarak to you all.
I share this pattern to all of you; I do hope this gift will be useful reminder (and beautiful too) in our home, in class room, in community gathering place... we should guard ourself from saying useless meaningless and or false + hurtful things to other. This gift, was initially designed for my niece... a teenager who just learned stitching.. and also a first time voter in Indonesia election. Today it's official we have new president; and the whole presidential race campaign was a nightmare for me; I truly hope my niece will always remember what's written on this banner.

Alhamdulillah. We can share our free pattern once again, the last pattern shared in 2011. This is not a new pattern, I made it llast year or probably longer than that. I hope you will like this pattern and have hours of stitching pleasure... just like my sister had. Lol, yes I have never stitched this design. In fact, most of our patterns was stitched by my sister Wiwin. I am not as good as she does in stitching, for any design, not just our design.

I've been so busy learning how to set up a website, that's why it's been weeks without a new post on this blog. I have some calligraphy design to share in the next post, and three flower patterns too.
For now, I share my first bookmark design I made about two years ago (after I saw the picture somewhere). The pattern use 2 colors of DMC threads (you can change the color and the brands, of course). I just made the pattern as PDF, so you can download it for free. Please let me know if the link is broken or other difficulties you find in downloading it.

Alhamdulillah. In less than a week we will meet another Eid al Adha, insya Allah. Welcoming the special day, here I share xstitch chart of Surah Al Kautsar (Al Kawthar, or Al Kawstar as I found on the Internet). The second verse is about making sacrifice only for Allah, expecting bless and mercy. More about this short Surah, you can visit www.quran.com, and you can find the tafseer at www.altafsir.com.
In relation to Eid, for us Muslim who can afford it, let's make udhiyya qurban. Why, what's the importance of it? Why slaughter animal for sacrifice? You can find a very good brief explanation about it on www.onislam.net. Then if you would not mind, I suggest you to send your qurban to the most needed right now: those victims of flood in Thailand, or earthquake in Turk, and of coursse The Horn of Africa area is still in the state of emergency because of severe drought and famine. How to send it there, you live in the US, or Australia, or elsewere but those areas? Nah, it's just a click away: visit www.zakat.org, they serve muslim worldwide.

Alhamdulillah once again we are able to share new pattern on this blog. This time, our pattern is very simple, using one color only. I made this for my niece, who (again) find herself as beginner in cross stitch. She is now almost 13 by the way, and about 3 years ago she was successful in stitching simple design (Masjid). I hope I will be able to post her final work soon, that is, if she will not abandon this precious project when soon be occupied with basketball, swimming, and other activities. LOL
